Covid-19 Response and Programs

The SCOW staff, board members, and volunteers were able to continue working and serving the community respecting Covid-19 public health guidelines. In collaboration with other agencies, state, and local funding SCOW was able to respond to the needs of the community with a variety of Covid-19 response programs focused on assisting with rent, utilities, and food. I addition to the response programs, in collaboration with instructors, volunteers from partner agencies, and the staff we adapted most of our programs into virtual learning experiences. Service Updates

We continued to offer assistance remotely with referrals and other social services during the Covid-19 pandemic. The public health emergency caused that many families and individuals we serve to lose their steady income and face distress. Our work became extremely essential and we were committed to continuing supporting and advocating for the community.

We adapted our services to the needs of the community while following the Covid-19 guideline to ensure we contributed to stopping the spread of the pandemic. We became more active on social media platforms to ensure we kept the community informed of all the latest updates about various important topics such as public health guidelines, housing, and rent protection, small businesses’ financial support, and unemployment among others.
